In the 90’s, GM’s “automatic” climate control used a component called the hvac programmer. This part has several tasks that vary depending on its application.
The programmer controls things like air mode, blower speed, and air discharge temperature.
These have several failure points including internal vacuum leaks, bad vacuum solenoids, and erratic blower output. We have built car specific testing equipment to verify correct function and prove our repairs.
